Sustainability is crucial in the future of Johnson Matthey (JM). To this end, Neil Carson, CEO has informed all JM employees of a new sustainability intranet site which is to be used by employees. An extract from Mr Carsons statement is shown below:

"The main aim of the site is to allow us to share best practice and information on sustainability across the whole group. It has been developed based on the feedback we received from employees about what they would find particularly helpful – and that was to hear about what others were doing and to have a means to share their successes and challenges with the group.

The Sustainability Intranet site is very much an interactive resource. It has several areas for employees to add their own content, send messages or join in discussion forums on sustainability topics. You can also follow Johnson Matthey’s progress towards the Sustainability 2017 targets and view useful background information on many aspects of sustainability."

Johnson Matthey is also encouraging employees to consider entering this year’s Sustainability Awards which recognise and showcase best practice in sustainability within Johnson Matthey.
